This year, the networking event for the culture and experience industry will be held at Turku University of Applied Sciences’ EduCity premises.
Welcome to a networking event for creative industries! The event will feature two fantastic keynote speeches by Samppa Batal and Tuomas Sara. There will also be opportunities for networking and meeting people at various stations related to entrepreneurship and employment in the creative industries. The event will be hosted by Juhani Koskinen.
Samppa Batal is an internationally acclaimed director, screenwriter, and producer whose film Omenavarkaat (2024) won two Jussi Awards. He is known as Finland’s leading independent filmmaker and actor, among other things for the series Queen of Fucking Everything (2025). In the spring of 2025, Batal was awarded the Humanism’s Hand honorary award.
Tuomas Sara is a cultural producer, festival organizer, restaurant entrepreneur, and cultural multi-talent from Turku. He has been involved in founding the ILMIÖ and H2Ö festivals, as well as Taiteen talo (House of Art), and currently runs two event-based cultural restaurants, Bar Ö in Turku and Bar tÿpo in Helsinki.
The event will be held at the Kupittaa campus of Turku University of Applied Sciences (EduCity, Joukahaisenkatu 7, Turku) on Thursday, 30 October, 2025, at 8.30–12.00. The event is free of charge and is aimed at creative professionals in the Turku region (companies, entrepreneurs, professionals, and students in the field).
